About David W. Smith, MD
Author of “When Heads Come Together- Nature Reveals Its Secrets for Preventing Traumatic Brain Injury, David Smith MD, was a prior visiting scientist at both The Human Performance Laboratory at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and at the Chicago North Shores Division of Neurosurgery. He discovered and pioneered “SLOSH Theory”, which is the basis of the first and only FDA-authorized 2022 medical device (The Q-Collar), which specifically is to mitigate the risk of Traumatic Brain Injury (70,000+ brains protected to date since launch in 2023). An alumnus of the University of Cincinnati (BS Chemistry and MD), he went on to specialty training at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland. His Q-Collar technology is featured at the Cincinnati Museum Center’s exhibit on TBI mitigation. His company is now under contract with the US ARMY and is presently forming an alliance with the Navel Health Research Center to take forward his newest discovery, The SAGE Rebreather, for REVERSING TBI at the point of injury…on the battle and sporting field- notably, this also mitigates Sleep Apnea and Altitude Illness.
The Cincinnati Dental Society is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider approved by the ODA.
