Gottschalk\, DDS\, Notable Service Award” celebration on Thursday\, May 2\, 2024\, at the Kenwood Country Club. For those not familiar with this award\, it was established in 2014 and the first award was presented to Vicki Nixon in 2015. Since then\, we have presented this award each year after to Dr. Patty Walter (2016)\, who passed away September of 2016\, Dr. Linda Smith (2017)\, who passed away this February of 2024\, Nancy Carter\, RDH\, MPH (2018)\, Dr. Marilyn Crumpton (2019)\, Cincinnati Health Department’s School-Based Dental Centers (2021)\, UC Health’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program (2022)\, and Greater C Dental Lab in 2023. The purpose of the award is to acknowledge and recognize an individual or group who has provided profound and impacting contributions to the improvement of oral health of the underserved in the Greater Cincinnati area. The criteria for the award\, this volunteer person or group must demonstrate their dedication to the community they support by displaying these characteristics. Unselfishly works\, supports\, and advocates for the cause.Gives generously of their time\, and talent.Sets examples for others.Passionate and compassionate about helping others.This year\, the Foundation Board is proud to present the “Jack W. Gottschalk\, DDS\, Notable Service Award” to Francie Wolgin\, BSN\, MSN\, who has been instrumental in impacting the lives of our community through the school-based health centers for children and adolescents who have not been able to access care and has advocated for funding for dental programs when she was working at Interact for Health. Francie\, now volunteers as Executive Director for Growing Well and continues her work with the new addition of a school based dental center at Roberts Academy\, to open in the Fall of 2024. We hope you will be able to join us this year as we celebrate this special accomplishment with Francie and all previous recipients! Cocktails: 6:00 pm\, Dinner at 7:00 pm\, Program at 8:00 pmCost: $55/person.
